I finally got to meet Nedra at Quilt Festival, she is so nice, just as I thought she would be. Then there is Kelly and Barbara. Kelly had a booth at Festival, she is one talented lady. Dorothy, a friend from our Bee and is standing by a friend of hers quilt that was entered in the Quilt Festival.

Now for my favorite quilt, it is the one with the little village. The pictures does not do it justice. She sewed little small ric-rac all over. You can click on the pictures to enlarge them.

And last I had to stop this lady and take her picture, isn't she something.

I Will Never Work With This Fabric Again!!! LOL

x
Bet ya thought I was talking about some quilting fabric, no, the grand babies needed their costumes before Saturday, due to a party they are going to. I will say it again, "I will never work with this fabric again..." You can't iron it without putting a towel over it, because it has sparkles that stick to all things hot and you talk about slippery. I will find another source for the future costumes. I have made many, but tried this fabric for these.

x
It was funny the first time the oldest saw her mermaid pattern. Her face told it all to me. She wanted to be a mermaid like Ariel. When she saw her feet was not going in the tail it kinda upset her. Mimi, I really wish my feet could go down in the tail. The end of the tail is wrapped around her wrist. I told her she couldn't walk, she would have to swim to her party. After she tried it on for the fitting, she was happy. I'll try to post pictures of them.

On Snow White's bag I embroidered

woke me with a kiss)

I knew this month was going to be busy and I'm sorry I haven't visited or posted. It bound to slow down soon.
x
I have been working with my Texture Magic will post pictures soon. I will be at the Quilt Market and Quilt Festival showing Demo's in Painted Pony's booth on Saturday. Please stop by if you can.

What I worked on this weekend

What I worked on this weekend
x

My husband and son went to work on their deer lease so I had all day Saturday to play. I just love those days. Bought hamburger meat to grill for when they got home, so I didn't even have to stay in the kitchen. Yea!!!

x

Sewing room here I come. I needed some little gift bags for a couple of friends and thought since fall is in the air, the embroidery design would work on some weaver cloth I had.

x

x
Another baby quilt with Texture Magic. One of the shops I visited, had lots of quilting fabric but no one to make a sample for the product. So I volunteered. I will think twice next time on this offering. But I know it will help them sell the product. Very easy, but I need more time.

x
x
This is a beaded pillow I'm making, still working on this project.
x

x
This is a sneak peek of a pattern I've made. Hope to have it up on Etsy soon. It's finished, just have to learn how to do a PDF file.
x
I know I didn't post pictures of our guild meeting and there is a reason for it. I was in the show and tell line and forgot all about taking pictures of all the other quilts. I'm bad...

I've been away having FUN!

I've been on the road visiting my son in Houston and going to Fabric and Quilt Shops showing them the new product Texture Magic. They are so thrilled seeing something new to add to their lines and seeing us girls (quilters and sewers) minds start rolling with new projects and where all they can put it. If they want to see it where customers are, they start gathering around and just keep feeling it.

Off to Quilt Guild and I'll be back with photo's tonight.
